In the twenties we had a big problem with bribery in our government. Today isn’t the same thing still happening with campaign contributions? Don’t people that help senators get elected have a say in how they vote? So why can’t the healthcare industry and insurance industry influence the decision behind socialized healthcare? Can someone explain this system to me? Links would be greatly appreciated if anyone knows a good website. I will vote for best answer. Thanks!!!!

Ok so this may be stupid but I really want to know if the gov. gets any of the donation money. And if a donation is made to a campaign can some of that be donated to a good cause?

How much can an individual give to a political campaign in one year? How about a sole proprietor business? LLC?
